Default Hull Stains

What's up with the dirty water in NY (LI Sound)?
My boat is lifted out of the water all the time.
But just from idling around a bit, my hull has a light brown
stain from the waterline down.
How do I remove it, and is it worth it?
If it only takes an hour for this stain to take hold,
it'll come back all the time. How about any prevention so it
doesn't stick.

Star brite hull cleaner in a spray bottle and a hose. More mild than some others and works well.

Have used the hull cleaner from West Marine. Is not real bad to use and just wipe on with a sponge and let it sit for 2-3 minutes and spray off. Not sure how to prevent it from happening...perhaps a good coat of wax after the hull cleaner would help at least initially until the wax wears off. I usually do the hull on mine twice per year. Oh yeah, my boat is trailered and not in the water or on a lift.

Ditto! You can get it from Vyper340 who will probably chime in soon.

"Kaboom" works but once you start you have to do it everytime. Ran into that last year.
