The Mercury 454/450HP's that were produced in the mid '90s were not produced or around very long. Why? Was it a good motor with power or did it have alot of draw-backs. I had 502/465's and most people did not like them. I had no problems once we figured out that they reguired dry exhaust.
Need to know pros&cons of 454/450 HP.

I've always heard the 454/450 were the basis for the 502/500. Same basic engine only smaller
