Wondered if anyone is in the business of moving vehicles.I bought a tractor in Lincoln Texas, which is about 200 miles south of Dallas and am having a heck of a time getting someone to deliver it to St. Louis. If anyone knows someone who is in the business I would be most grateful. It is mid sized and weighs about 5k pounds. Art

Try a LTL (less than truckload) carrier like www.ABF.com . Ask for a special volume rate. Explain to them the dimensions and the weight. If it is a farm tractor it should fit in a 28 ft pup easily. We ship them all the time - BH

I had to ship some parts and used www.freightquote.com to find carriers then called some--I was offfered a 40% new customer discount right out of box---moral of storyu is there are some huge discounts to be had in transport bizness.
Keep me posted on success--I've got a tractor in Pcola that I need to get moved to Orlando--4wd NewHolland with front-end loader & backhoe---

Just make sure when you are quoted, ask if the price includes fuel surcharge. At the current it's 9%. Once you get a quote e-mail me and let me know. I have several trucks in texas this week. They are dry vans and not too sure how we can secure that from shifting. The load locks may not be able to do that. Stan
