I've got the old style kill switches in my boat (see picture) and they were not connected when I bought it. We are doing some Poker Runs in the near future and I want to connect them. There are two wires coming out of the switch. Am I correct in assuming that I would take the "hot" ignition wire (purple in my case-1988 Cig. Bullet) , cut it and connect the two sides to the two wires for the switch?
