Disappointed in the local news media

Disappointed in the local news media
The last two weekends we've had 2 Offshore racing events, one of them a national. Can you guess how many articles were in the Detroit Freepress about them ? ZERO ! I'm guessing that the local community papers (Algonac,Port Huron) had articles , I hope.
I was so ticked after the Algonac race I emailed the sports section of the Freepress. I pointed out the local tie in's (Reliable transport, Let's Play, I know there is more) and gave them a heads up on the Port Huron race.
Still nothing in the paper. In a state that calls itself the "winter/water" wonderland and one that supposedly has the highest number of registered boats in the country , the local Offshore races aren't news worthy ?
Sorry about the rant but it just pisses me off !

My parents went up to the cabin last tuesday, and the old man said see you in 2 weeks. I think he totally forgot about this weekend. Can you imagine that ....pimped by my own dad ! He's got til tommorrow then I will call Rob. if he already has the tickets then Dad will be billed.
