A friend of mine has been always bragging about his boat and how fast it was and I finally got a ride in it this week. Well let me tell you what a experience this was, the boat is a 30 Cigarette mystique T/S with twin 575’s yes 575’s….by far this is the fastest boat I have been in, there where 3 guys and a full tank of gas , we ran it up to 80mph in a heart beat and I was thinking that was it ……..Wrong ……He hit the sticks again and it pulled me back in the seat to 98mph gps, what a awesome boat ……now i just let him brag all he wants.

I know Dano here on OSO had his 31 Sonic up to 98/99 mph with 575s as well. I wonder if that Mystique has more left?

Why did Cig stop building the mystique?

They only did as far as production is concerned. They still have the mold...if you want one I'm sure they would build it. I think the cost to build and sell them are so close to the 35 mistress that sales just weren't what they needed.

Yes, the boat "WHOSNEXT" was on was Enrique's old boat. I believe they have had it to 101 MPH on GPS. It was the fastest Mystique built.

Troutly, that is the boat and fast isn't the word for it, the part that blows me away is the acceleration at any speed.

He claims it does 102 in salt (98 was in fresh) with 2 people and 1/4 tank. I believe him.
