Anyone see Eddie Trotta owner and driver of Rampage back in the late 70's and early 80's win the biker buildoff on Discovery last night.
They showed a clip of him racing offshore last night as well

I saw it, it looked like he really enjoyed the boat racing because they showed that more than once. He was just haveing so much fun he forgot to pay his taxes I guess.

I saw that last night, both bikes were nice. What type of boat was Rampage. It looked like a cut down Cig.

I believe the boat they showed him racing was the cougar cat, he also had a Cig I think then. Back then all the open class guys had a cat and a V and would race either one depending on water conditions.

The V Rampage did look like a 39 Cig, but the Cat Rampage ???

His current boat had a GREAT paint job.

The video clip was the dual cockpit cougar cat. The snap shots showed some type of cut down V. He definitely lived the Maimi Vice lifestyle in the 70's and 80's, a stint in Jail for Tax issues.....???? Most of the people in the sport then were being investigate by the DEA or the IRS.
