Just made reservations in Grand Haven, most of the hotels are full. We're heading to our second Smoke On The Water run, unfortunately boatless again this year but it's still a heck of a show. And this year, we're bringing our two-and-a-half year old daughter. She loves boats; in fact, she told me the other day that she needs a "big huge boat" (that's my girl!) so this should be a big thrill for her.

I'm tellin' ya, that kid's a genius....

we will bre in holland about 1/2 mile offshore at 10:00am watching them roll in at 10:10. (10 minutes after they started in Grand Haven BTW !!)

then we will proceed up the coast to Grand Haven, getting there the same time the smokers go to south haven , get their card, and run the whole way north again. We will be in Grand Haven , tying to the wall about 11:30

we will check the boats out at the dock. while the owners eat and their mechanics wrench ( ok, some owners do thier own wrenching......)

then we will watch them head out again for Whitehall after lunch

Don, we should have 3 or 4 boats. join us from holland. the best leg is the first run to holland. it is dead still quiet as we drift waiting for them. ......until you hear a faint rumble like thunder, then you see............ the roosts, then there they are all around you!!!!!!!!!
