carb ?
I built a 540. It has brodicks heads and intake, teague stage 3 cam shaft, 1050 holly model 4500hp dominator. Was wondering if anybody could help me with jetting. Cannot keep plugs in it. Misses and real doggie getting on plane. And no top end. 63 mph is the best I've seen. It has 81 main jets in it, 40 idle airbleeds, 53 intermediate airbleeds, & 51 main high speed airbleeds. Any information would be helpful don't really know where to go from here.

That may just be too much carb unless you have a great flowing intake matched to great flowing heads with big valves and a great tube header exhaust system turning 5500 rpm or better. Otherwise it just doesn't need that much carb and probably can't operate in it's optimum efficiency range. --- jp

I too think you got a little too much carb. Unless you are turning an honest usable 7500-RPM then you need to step back. It is a dog out of the hole because you probably have a quart of fuel puddled on the bottom of your intake.
