Certainly with NO DISRESPECT meant toward ANYONE or ANY sanctioning body (APBA, SBI or OSS) I heard a "rumor" this weekend that the two came to an agreement and signed a contract to join forces last week. If in fact this DID happen, it would surely be a GOOD thing for the sport. Maybe they can get together with the OSS boys and end this once and for all.

Shane usually has very good sources.
I too hope it turns out for the better of the sport!

I have been searching for but can't find where I read this, but I thought it was recently that SBi and APBI were going to have races at the same venue at approximatley the same time but still a different series.
May that was it?

The only salvation for this sport is to have one and only one sanctioning body in the States. If this is true, there may be hope. If not, we will continue to see the likes of OL and Fountain duke it out in meaningless fastest V-Bottom crap.
I hope it is true

The gentleman that told this too me is currently racing APBA P-class. This was the first time I have ever met or spoken with him which is why I ASKED the question. Typically, you can tell from posts if I am fairly CERTAIN of something, but in this case, I am being more inquisitive than assertive. I hope for the good of the sport all hatches, uh I mean hatchets
can be burried and racing can consolidate not only in organizations but classes as well. This will only serve to the better the sport from a manufacturers and racers perspective, but certainly for the fans as well.
