I am looking for a source for the environmentally friendly dock foam. I need to replace all of the old white foam and need a source for the DIY person. I am on Lake Lanier in the Atlanta area but I am able to receive truck shipments if I have to source it outside the Atlanta area.

I just got through rebuilding mine and using the encapsulated Styrofoam you are talking about. Depending on where you buy it you are looking at about $1100-$1800 for enough to build a 12X20 floater. Since i live in a lake town we can buy it at any building supply house.

If you can't find somewhere in Ga shoot me a PM with your contact info and I will find a place for you. A friend's wife actually sells marine supplies all over the country and she sells encapsulated Styrofoam. She has some dealers in Ga she could hook you up with....or you can come here and get it.

Not foam, but I used these for my floating work dock.
