does anyone know if merc is still having trouble with cav plates on these drives
a neighbor says backordered from merc and thats for aluminum thats going to break off anyway.
friend of mine who owns a machine says he can make them from stainless
which should hold up . is there a market for these/ is anyone making them out of stainless yet??

Merc has a new splash plate assembly. It has 3 bolts instead of one. I lost both of them last year along with my labbed props. Call Merc racing and talk to Randy...920-921-5330

What the hell are those ungangly looking things you guys are slapping on your drives.
What can those "Fred Flinstone" looking attachements bring to your rigs? Man those things are scary...

I had 4 of them come off!!! Merc finally has a fix put the new ones one no problem so far! It amazes me that Merc being a manufacture does not cover there own defects. If your where any other company you would be getting sued let and right.
