Really looking forward to doing a little boating this week end, but what I can't handle is all the Drunk, Amateur, boaters that seem to come out of the wood work on holiday week ends.
Memorial Day, I suffered a cut anchor line and a pretty nice scratch on the side of my boat, and constantly had to push out of control boaters off to keep them from hitting me.
Wife and I are trying to plan a boating trip that is not around all the local hot spots, just to avoid further damage.
Kind of makes you wonder why you don't have to have a boat endorcement on your licence like you do for motorcycles, large trucks etc....
While our area is a pretty crowded, I can only imagine what the "Drunk Boater Amateur Hour" is like at hot spots such as Lotto and Havasu"

The saddest thing is that some of the people you refer to are probably members of OSO....

Boat was down for a while. (Repower) Work has been relentlous(People have been buying diesels like its going out of style).
Since you moved, we're gonna have to get together somethime and go to the Glenn.
I love it there but never want to go there solo. (Don't know the water very well)

I will be out 24/7
We are 1/2 way thru summer here and I can dodge those turds all day. I have been out every night this week, we have 80 deg and the lake is calm so I will just steer clear and be safe. I will be stone sober so it makes it easy to spot the dork drunks. I can't afford to take any time off the water, I am shooting for 150 hours and I am at 60 for the season, that puts me at a 120 pace so I need to step it up. SOTW should add 20 or so
The boat is running scarry good, I am cruising at 4000 now and the motors just purr. I used to keep it at 3500 but I am growing more confident in these mills and I am stepping it up
I have not had motors that ran so well in my life, the bildge is clean after every run and the oil, now with 5 hours, is still clear. My oil temps never pass 210, even at 4000 for 20 miles with no let up (remember that DKWestern
) sorry that cost you a powerhead, BB Chevys rule the water, not blenders.
Everyone be safe and just drive on the defense.
And if you see a drunk, b itch first
then call the cops.
