Question remote filter question for gen 6,setup??

My gen 4 454mag went kablooey! I'm trying to trans acc's to the gen 6 I'm building. The remote adapter from the old one has a deep mount and won't go on the gen 6. Looks like the gen 6 has 2 tapped holes in front of the filter mount (outside the oil pan) and one in the "boss" above it. They are 3/8" pipe thread I think. Can these be used as the supply and return? Looks like the bottom cap from my old one will cover the normal filter mnt. If so how do I plumb it ? If not will Summit have what I need ? OK I can figure that out.
Please help if you're SURE of this setup.

3 yrs ago i bought a beautiful billet adapter for a gen 6 block from cp performance in california, call there, ask for scott in tech he will provide you with correct part. 3/8 plugs-i also have seen them on stock blocks and would NEVER consider using them for all the filter/cooler supply to run through! The inside dia of any fitting you would screw in them would be WAY too small for proper oil flow! I think they can be used in some kind of automotive application with a filter on the block to send some of your oil flow to a remote cooler that doesn't get 100% of the output of the pump but thats only my guess,Smitty

Dont use the 3/8" fittings, get either the Merc adapter or one like the CP. There is also some bypass valves in the holes on those motors. I cant remember just which one, but I did put a plug in one to force all the oil to the filter/cooler..

Good luck with it.
