Autosol, Autosol, Autosol............you'll have to rub, either by hand or by machine, but its the best out there........OR..........go to a big rig place. (theres a Peterbilt dealer in town here) and they have a in house "detail" guy. He polishes acres of aluminum on those big rigs, those big bumpers, the 75gal fuel tanks etc etc. They sell the real deal stuff there. 3 different grades of polishing wheels and 3 different levels of polishing compounds, sometimes he starts with heavy wheel and medium compound (if its never been polished before)and works his way finer sometimes he starts with a fine wheel and a fine compound for bringing back something that has already been polished "you experiment, but after awhile you get to know".......but he always ends using jewelers polish (which they sell there also) by hand, he says it buffs up real well and lifts that black residue (from polishing) for the final shine better than anything. .......he also said he doesnt pay too much attention to the recomended max rpm warning on the wheels, he said his polisher (Makita, like a metal grinder)) almost doubles the ratings and he does this all day every day, he said he watches and changes the wheel when it starts to fray and thump (thats what he said)........Now that Im on holidays Im going to head back down there and get some stuff..................doug
