Hi!
Just curious; would it be possible to mount two Yanmar LY Series 6LY2AM-STP (440HP/370kW) engines in a 37 Outerlimits. And what kind of speed should be expected?
A friend of mine who is a marine mechanic tells me that the Yanmars are relatively easy to upgrade to 500 HP each without loosing too much longvity. Those engines are rated to last at least 10.000 hrs without rebuild anyway...
With 2 x 500 HP it should be possible to run in excess of 80 mph?
Cheeers, Toffen - Norway
Norway is oil exporter - but the most expensive fuel in the world....
