You mean I.M.P. (It Might Plane)
actually it stands for Iola Molded Plastics, they where originally from Iola, KS. and use to sell a lot of boat's in the Ozarks!! You can find 31ft Elaganza's pretty cheap every once in a while. The thing I have heard about them is that they are HEAVY, so they aren't the fastest thing in the water. I've never heard of them falling apart, in fact I know that OB21 here on the board had one and he said he beat the snot out of it and it always begged for more.

I have one and guess what? It's for sale...All bs aside it has been a great boat...handles rough water well...lots of room and aside from what funhome has to say it planes out quite nicely. We'll be at the grandslam poker run this weekend trying to get it to plane out

By the way the International Marine Products as it came to be after Iola...went out of business, as I understand it, after the owner either partnered up or sold his company to someone in FL where they had grand visions of becoming world class boat builders...one way or another it didn't quite "plane" out! Sorry, I couldn't resist!
