I'll be in the Tampa / St. Pete area next week and would like to visit a few performance boat dealers. Any recommendations appreciated. Restaurants, things to do, beach spots and marina dining also of interest! Thanks.

The only performance boat dealers in the area are Thundermarine, a Baja dealer, and Lightning Bay Marine. Lightning usually has some interesting used boats in the lot.

Undertow at St. Pete Beach, Mirage and the Sandbar on Tierra Verde, Gators on St. John's Pass are a few notable "watering holes".

If you feel like a 50 minute drive (from St. Pete), travel south to Sarasota and visit the Boathouse located at the Hyatt, it overlooks the Hyatt Basin and is filled with boat racing pictures, etc. Go I-75 south to the Fruitville Rd. exit, follow all the way to the end, cross U.S. 41 into the Quay parking lot, go to the right and exit parking lot on the side st., go left through the fenced Hyatt parking lot access and your there.
