Can anyone tell me How thick the Plate is on Bravo Shift Cable Core Wire Locating Tool (Part #91-17263) This tool is used to hold the end of the Cable at the Bellhousing ?Also What is the center distance between the Hole( For the Barrell) and the stud on the Shift Cable Anchor Adustment Tool (part # 91-17262) This Tool is for setting the Barrell end of Cable at the shift Plate.

Old thread, but looking for same info.

I have the core locator 1/4" thick plate. I need the distance between the brass barrel and stud hole for the tool ( 91-17262) used at the motor end shift bracket. I found where 1 person said it was 7 3/4" spacing, so I made that tool to that dim. But now I ran across a couple of replies that say its 6" spacing. Pretty sure once I check those measurements against the shift plate, it'll be obvious which one of those is wrong. Looking for verification of the actual spacing. Thanks

It could be 7 3/4 but looks to me as closer to 7 7/8

I stopped using the tool because found it easier to set the height dimension on the shift plate first. Then with the motor running on muffs, pull the barrel off the plate and move the cable back n forth to find neutral. Don't need to look at the prop because you can feel it when its in gear. Once center neutral is found, slide it in place and your good to go

7.25" BETWEEN barrels, NOT centerline, with a .25" spacer at the helmet.

If you buy a new cable and don't get NOS they also come pre-adjusted, so just check the 3 inch height and hook it
