...plane on one engine?
Just curious. I have been told mine would; never tried it until this weekend. I did run the port engine out of fuel once, and stayed on plane with the SB engine for a mile or two.

This weekend, I found myself very low on fuel on the port engine, with a little more on the SB. I decided to give it a shot, and make a run for the fuel dock a couple miles away; and save port fuel for docking.

She eased up slowly, on the SB motor drive tucked, with port off and in neutral, prop on, port drive trimmed out; tabs all the way down. I was able to raise the tabs once on plane, trim out the powered drive, and run 30mph. Needless to say, I was pretty impressed with the efficiency of the stepped hull, planing with only 425HP. Props are B1 28P, and I doubt it would do it with Hydros.

I spun a hub out of a prop on my boat 1994 Baja 32 caliber with 27 Mirage and could only get 8.7 mph before the other prop would blow out

A 35 Fountain won't get on plane with one engine. It will run 7.5 mph though.

Thumbs up Re: Does your twin engine boat...

After a fresh coat of bottom paint and a fresh set of props, oh yeah!
I had lost one tranny. I decided to give a go with one engine. It took a bit, but she did get up and go, then I backed off. All 31 tons!!! 57 feet long all aluminum. The hull design I guess just made it work like a cat and gave it enough lift...
I couldn't believe it....
