I am in Ft. Lauderdale at the moment, escaping tomorrow afternoon before the hurricane, however, I saw the Slip and downtown Richmond on the news. HOLY CRAP that was some WATER!! You could have launched in front the Richbrau!!

Brian, I talked with a friend in Richmond and they are saying she may not go back to work before the end of the week. She works downtown in Juvenile Court.

Yea the slip area got blasted. It's the worst flooding downtown that I've seen in my 23 years living here. Unbelievable how Gaston just hovered over us and dumped rain. As far as I know the "boating crowd" survived without incident.
