I have just learned that Blackadar Ins. will no longer be covering performance boats.That's a real shame,Bill Butler and he's staff
have always great to deal with.

Hey Rob. I was with Blackadar as well and had to go through the same think just a month ago. I shopped around and found that Sy Goldberg with Total Dollar gave me the best quote for the Apache.

When I was looking, I had the different companies quote a policy with the exact same coverage (same coverage amounts, no layup, same navigation areas, etc) so that I could evenly compare them. The results may have been different for others because I am sure that rates vary from boat to boat and from owner to owner, but Total Dollar provided me the lowest quote, followed closely by Worldwide.

I have mine through them. My boat is an '85 357 Formula. They were one of the few that would cover it and ended up having the best rate.
