Hi!
What is the advantage and disantvantage of mounting two engines close to eachother (fx. 20 inches centerline to centerline vs 23 inches centerline to centerline)?
I have a Phantom 25 (2800 lbs) with 2 x Merc 2.5 SS engines). The beam is narrow, only 5,5 feet, so mounting has to be close. Top speed should be in the upper 90-ties / low 100's.

One advantage is lower center of gravity. also, I don't think you'll blowout a prop on turns as easy. One disavantage is the effects of steering with one engine foreward and the other in reverse, is diminished.
