What exactly are the charter member benefits these days?

It seems free classifieds are not one of those benefits???

So what exactly are they now?

There are only 300 Charter Members. You got the membership buy purchasing a charter member sticker when OSO was trying to raise some cash for a new server.

As far as benefits, you get to view pics and post in all sections without having to purchase another membership. I do not believe classifieds are free for anyone anymore, unless maybe you are a corporate sponsor.

Mark, you need to 'reregister in the classifieds section' if you have not as of a few months ago when the board was updated. Can use your same name. Then send OSO a email, pm or phone OSO stating you are a Charter member and just reregistered in the classifieds, then they will flip the switch on for the free benefits as before. I just went thru this 2 weeks ago when listing my boat. No charge. Ain't Charter benefits great!

US1 is exactly right. When the new classifieds went up I posted an ad gto sell my boat. I paid for the first one not knowing I needed to let OSO know I was trying to post an ad. They did state that Charter Members would get free classifieds. You just have to use the same ID and contact OSO. I've since done that and my next ad was free.

BTW my Charter Member sticker is looking very old and faded and the leters are coming off (its on my boat). I wonder if theres a way to get a new one?

I just paid for my ad. I guess, I could have e-mailed and ask for a refund. I figured that instead, I'd just let them have the money. After all, I still need to contribute to the board.
