Default NavMan Tracker 5500i

Anyone using this gps chartplotter?
It looks like it's comparable to the Garmin 182c.

I sell both at my parttime job and sell alot more garmins. And have had people return the navman and get either garmins or lowrances.

The fuel computer is a really great feature. Shows instant mpg, fuel used, fuel remaining, etc. I use an older Horizon/Navman plotter with the fuel feature on my old cruiser, and I love it.

I love it. I purchased and installed the Navman 5500 2 years ago when it first came out. The color screen is beautiful, and won't wash out in the sun. Using the larger fonts, I can read the display while running.

When I bought it, the Navman was about $150 less than the Garmin, which is a very good product. I just couldn't read the Garmin screen, so that and the price helped me make the decision.

Thought of another angle if someone is budget minded and wants to save a few bucks. As you search around the internet (i.e., using Mysimon or Froogle), you'll find some places offering factory refurbs with limited warranty scope.
