I am looking for a complete “NEW” Power steering cylinder Assembly for my 1992 #5 Drive! It connects to two external May Fair cylinders. My cylinders are fine! Just need the complete Assembly on the inside of the transom!
Take a look at the Picture below.
Thanks for the help!

Looks like the same valve on a TRS set up? They are cheap, about 200-250 new. Is it leaking? If I was you I would just change over to full hydrolic and be done with it.

Why don't you go to an all hydraulic helm set up? Then would would not need the internal ram and you can get rid of your steering cable. Sounds like you already have the rams and wing plate for the drive. You really just need a helm unit and fome high pressure hose.

If it is the hard to find Mercruiser Part # 71331A3, which Mercruiser currently sells for over $700.00, I have one. Of course, you will not pay near that price though. It is brand new, in the box. It is also used on the #3 Drive systems. Let me know. Thanks, Ed

Thanks for the replies! I think I am going to take the full Hydraulic system! I hate that stupid cable! I just was not aware of the Hydraulic steering! Thanks again

I have the exact same system (cable over hydraulic) for SSM 3's. What would be required to convert to full hydraulic? Parts, approx. pricing, etc.
Thanks,
Doug

If either of you two gentlemen find that the steering cylinder I have, mentioned above, fits your needs...I will sell it for $290.00 firm, plus shipping. Let me know. Thanks, Ed
