Default More Manatee Zones/Just what we need...:blaster:

I just caught a blurb on the news that the Feds are trying to make what sounds like a very large portion of the St. Pete/Tampa Bay areas a Manatee Zone. Anybody else catch more specifics on this than I did?

I swear I think they are trying to eliminate recreational boating in this state.

Nothing new. Once their work was done on the East coast, then came Ft. Myers, the next logical campaign against people's rights is Tampa Bay...

I heard they want to make the bay a 25mph zone. Fvck That!

Here's an article, Russ!

http://www.stpetersburgtimes.com/200...ld_to_ma.shtml

It's bullsh!t...all this because 60 manatees have died since 1974...30 fuggin' years...That's 2 per year. WTF? Thousands of people effected because 2 stupid animals die per year!

It may seem bad but it's nowhere near as restrictive as what they did to Lee county. Hopefully they'll leave it alone from here.

I feel for you guys. We have a 20 minute idle south and a 45 minute idle north from our dock! It sucks, that's for sure, BUT they won't stop me from boating!! The $MC's ultimate goal is to ELIMINATE ALL RECREATIONAL boating from ALL waters that have Manatees in them.
The $MC latest tactic is stop any new boat ramps and marinas from being permitted.

Nick, thanks...

Maybe it's time for a "Black Ops" operation against the SMC.

Your right, those storms could at least have done that.
