I've run my Imco exactly the same from day 1 with no special break in Never had a problem. Change lube every 25 or so hours.

the manual says to run it easy for 10 hrs. If it has XR gears, I recommend an oil change at the first 5 or 10hrs. The XR gears give off a bit of metal. Nice to get it out of there.
I also like to see people run at medium speeds, vary the speed and get the drive warm and then slow down and dunk it in the water.. Hot and cold cycles, let everything settle in.. then you work your way up to WOT.. I mean, would you like to be woke up in the morning and no chance to warm up??
Just my .02!
