I use one of the winterizing kits they sell at the boat stores. Or you can make one, it's a 5 gallon tank with a few fittings. You use your flush muffs so you don't have to disconnect any hoses. Run the motor till the t-stat is open, then you switch the valve that cuts off the hose and turns on the antifreeze. I use the pink stuff, it's non-toxic so in the spring you just fire up the motor up and don't have to worry about colecting the antifreeze.

The only extra thing I do is I pull the tstat out. I was always afraid of it closing on me and not completly circulating. Only takes a couple minutes.

Run it till its warm, swap over to antifreeze. fog the intake just as the jug gets empty. Change the oil and filters and the rest of your list. throw a drive oil change on there to.

Allow engines to run out of gas while fogging. Empty fuel lines cannot accumulate varnish, etc.

I like the T-stat idea...never thought of it that way. Good Advice.

add stabalizer to fuel before last time out, so it mixes in all gas and gets in carb.
