Default Lifter ?

will the roller lifters from a Mark 4 block work in a Gen 5????

They can be used but the require machining the top of the lifter bores down to clear the tie bars it's time consuming but it can be done. Good luck Laz Mesa

I'm using Cranes in a gen 5 right now. No machining, no problems. You guys must be thinking about gen 6's.

I just went back to Cranes website and checked. They give the same lifter part no. for 1965- 1995. There is a note however to check for clearence under the link bar on aftermarket blocks such as Dart, Merlin.

Dyno,
The Morel lifters have a longer body and deeper set pushrod cup. They will work in Mk IV, Gen V & VI blocks with standard retro pushrod length.
