Default converting a bravo to #6???

I just boat a project boat that is rigged with triple bravo's. The center drive is missing and all the motors are gone. The boat had 575's. I am wanting to put bigger motors and I own a pair of rebuilt #6's. What all is involved in the conversion?

Depending on the boat - I would just reglass the original holes closed ( best to just replace the transom ) and recut for stagerd #6's. then build two big Cube motors.

The boat is a 2001 Cig. 46. I thought about staggered but then you have to replace all gauges, dash, throttles, etc. Who does this kind of work anyways?

Retrofitting #6s is a mondo project, especially with triples. You need to make sure you have room to move the center motor forward (they all have to go forward), there's a lot of realigning involved, your transom will never be the same....better off trading for a #6 boat and repower any way you want.
Let me know if you want to sell the #6s, though. Trannies included?

going from a tripple bravo isnt that bad just reglass the transom and make sure it is thick enough. to get the transom redone I just did it in a 40' hustler with tripps and now with going to some bigger dirves had it all replaced, removed old transom built up ne glassed in, had some extras done in the engine compartment as welll, along with the engine compartment redone in white gelcoat. took a couple of months from unrigging to getting it out of the shop,(would have been done sooner but started this in August, glass shop was swamped). Hardest part was un rigging the transom (1995 model). Now that that part is done its time to cut out the mount holes and such and rerig with everything. Only problem that I forsaw was the use of trannys and the lenght of motors all mounted together. the drives I am going to run with boxes will allow me to place the tranny in the box not move my motors but a couple of inches. it is a tripple bravo to bigger drive set up. lots of measuring and I am sure that you can call and ask some of oso's advertisers what they think it would run you to do it. Or get it all stripped and the glass work done then find somebody to cut away.

Congrats on the 46 any pics? Have you still got the Gladiator for sale or did you trade?

I would suggest calling Tres Martin at Martin marine. You need to talk with someone about this who has rigged a lot of cigarettes and he would be a great place to start.
