Default Fountain Mufflers

I just replaced a factory muffler set-up on a 29 w/ 525's w/ silent choice for a customer. They are the external, under-platform mounted ones.

If an OSO'r needs or wants them I will give them a great deal. They won't do me any good sitting on the shelf in the parts room.
send me a msg.

Hi,

I've got the Fountain mufflers on my '04 29 525..... The boat sounds like a Searay.. But a lot more civilized then the 850 sc w/shotgun silencers on my old boat.....

Can I ask if you noticed a differance in performance ??????

Thanks,

Duncan

Yes the boat ran a little faster. maybe 1-2 mph. It sounded mean though. The 525 w/ straight exhaust turned heads. The silent choice did the job for the boat. It was a good pkg.

I know this was years ago, but when you replaced the mufflers did you have to put on custom angled exhaust tips. I have a 2005 fountain 27' fever with full-time exhaust and I am having trouble getting exhaust tips to fit. Seems like the exhaust hold comes out at an angle other than 90 degrees... about 75-80. Is this right... do I have to custom order tips with an angled flange?? Thanks!!

I am doing the same thing. Having to weld the angled piece onto the tips that matched the angle of the mufflers.
