What is the largest CI I can bolt a B&M 420 up to? I know Merc bolted a 420 to a 572 but will it work on a 588 or a 598?

Forget the 420. Holley discontinued them and parts (rotors) are getting hard to come by. Call Holley, they'll tell ya. Besides a 420 only displaces the same amount as a 6-71.

randy @ cobra has a lot of used blowers give him a ring.1071 is what you want unless your going all out. he runs 1471's on 598ci for 1200 hp, you can make 900 reliable hp with a 1071 on 588 or 598ci if you stay with 4.500 stroke you can run an off the shelf piston, if you go 4.625 stroke as i did custom pistons will be needed. stay with a smaller bore like 4.500 instead of 4.600 blown engines like thick cylinder walls...
