496 Oil Capacity?

How many quarts of oil do these engines hold? What happens if you run it overfilled?

I think it is about 10 quarts.......

I just changed mine, It is betwwen 9 1/2 and 10 quarts.

Get 2 gallons and 2 quarts (10 quarts total) for a single 496HO oil change.
