Just got 2002 353 fas tech with 500efi and xz drives little disappointed in the boats speed since everone i lined up against to race blew me away from cigarettes to the new 39 OL and old power plays i was just shocked but this year i am going faster took off the silent thunder and and now am changing props dont no weather to go to 5 blades or smaller 4 blades some one help me

What speeds are you seeing. I know of a 353 f2 fastech boat that runs 89-90.

You have a gentlemens performance boat! Don't gauge it against a $400-500k O/L. or...drop a blower on it!

If you want to go fast Whipple it.

Need to know basic info 1st. What prop and what pitch do you have currently? What RPM are you turning at WOT? Is that 80mph # GPS?

Any prop shop will ask those ?'s.

How much speed are you trying to attain ?

It sounds like it's running about where it should be.

You may find 1 or 2 mph by dinking with different
props........is that what your after ???

You need the Performance/Poker Run 353 they just came out with.

Stripped cabin, no heavy options, slightly lighter lay-up.

525's and boxes = low 90's
