Had a chance to test a 36 Concept in Key West with new Verados. What a great boat and the motors were incredible. Don Holtz and his wife Laura were great people and if anyone is looking for a Concept he is a good person to talk to.

That is a good question. I was so impressed by the Verado's size I didn't even ask if they were 250's or 275's, but I think they were 275's. The boat ran mid 60's on 87 octane, but on 93 it should run about 700 to 800 more rpms. Don has triple 300s on his own boat and he said it runs low 80s, but alot of noise. Those motors were so quiet you didn't even know they were running, even at top end. He ran down from Miami and never needed fuel
all week. The shifting and the throttles were all electronic. Very smooth.

I have owned two Concepts and they are such a fun and versatile boats especially with all the new technology coming out with outboards. Mike, Leopajm and Wickedwon all have beautiful boats. My 33/36 is for sale in the OSO classifieds.
Thanks, Patrick

I bought the boat 6-8 months old from a gentlemen named Bill that had it behind his vacation home in Hollywood Fl. He lives in Va. and has a 36 at his home in Va. also.

The 36 Concept is an awesome boat, Dave P has one and we just got one in with 2 250 Verados, I like the lower octain and the boat still runs in the 60s. You can put lower octain in the 275s but I wouldn't do it. The computer will not allow the motor to go into boost and runs like a 250. If he motor calls for Hi Test then only run Hi Test.
