Looking for a solid offshore vbottom single 496ho brand new that can take the ocean. Should it be sit down or stand up, and what types of speed should I see?

28 AT First Choice (yeah its a little bigger, but worth it over the 25 AT).
26 Sonic Second Choice

A new 26 Sonic should scare 70 mph with a 496 HO in ideal conditions; 65mph everyday.

I know you said 26' limit but the 27' activator hands down best rough water boat for its size. It would run around 82-85 mph with a 496HO.

24 Pantera or equivalent hull

If I had my pick it would be a Pantera24 in your size range, but personally would go for the 28.

Thanks for the input, just got rid of my 28 with twin 550s and need something reliable, single engine, that I can beat up with nothing breaking! I would love to have more power, but the warranty is important to me after going through my last boats headaches. Does anyone build like a mini gladiator or mini poker run (gtx), model so that I can have that "look of a bigger boat"???

Both the Pantera28 and Activator 27 are single engine in this case, can take more beating than most people can stand. I know the Pantera can be optioned with twins, and I am sure the Activator can as well. These are even "bigger" looking in person. Should look at these two in person. You will see the quality you are looking for.
