Donzi 33ZX Speed
#3
I'd go for the 33 just for size and comfort I think the 28 is way too uncomfortable for rough seas. I'm just tired of getting slammed around all day in smaller boats anymore I'm not old but just not a teenager anymore. I went out on a friends older 24 Baja. I got beat to death and felt it all the next week. Nah Go for the 33

I was a Donzi dealer back then. Stock out of the box would run about 65 in freshwater. You could play around with setup and get a few extra mph. They were just bringing out the Daytonas in '98 and they were lighter, stronger and balanced a little better. I had run quite a few of them.

A friend of mine has a '99 with Carb 500hp's and runs anywhere from 74 - 78 depending on conditions. I think that wind affects this boat a lot as the wide beam catches the wind. Just my theory, no real evidence to back it up, but 74 to 78 is a pretty big range.

OK I am going with the 33ZX if I find the right deal. There seems to be alot of 32 and 33 Baja outlaws out there. Should I stay away from Baja and get a Donzi. I am told Donzi is a good solid boat. And the interiors are really plush.
