Default Custom Props

Does anyone have experience with building custom props, e.g., Spinelli Bros? I want to try getting a little more out of my boat. I have a merc labbed 26 bravo one and it rolls on plane fine, but the mid range is horrible. I cannot obtain the last 150-200 rpm's unless the water is rough (2-3' chop) in the lake, which accounts for almost 4 mph. Any other suggestions are appreciated.

A friend of mine just ordered and received a custom built prop from Spinelli Bros. He was running a 30 pitch Bravo 1. With the new Spinelli he lost 2 mph on top end but retained the same rpm. Spinelli did say to keep sending it back and they would work with him until he was satisfied. That sounds like pretty good service to me. But at a PREMIUM price I would not expect anything less!!

Hydromotive Props out of Twinsburg, OH..have always treated everyone I have talked to with props for performance and follow up work. They have a program ..that you can turn your new prop in ofr another one for minimal bucks

Jim Hering from Hering Props makes a 5 blade for the bravo 1. You get on plane easier, better mid-range and more top end. I have a set. I got 4 more mph in the mid-range and 3 mph on top-end. I think they are great
Hering Props # is 360-659-4315
There is a write up about them in Power Boat magazine this month. Check it out!
