The new 240BR will be introduced in NY next week. If anyone goes, check it out. I saw the half finished boat at the factory in early December and it looked great. Not a shortenened 260BR but a brand new boat, hull and deck and everything new.Other companies would just block 2 feet off the 26'mold and have an instant new model,Formula did it their way, started with a clean sheet of paper. I haven't seen the completed boat, whoever sees it, let me know what you think.

Though I haven't seen the finished boat I am pretty excited about it. I believe a lot of buyers that might have wanted a Formula but were unwilling to pay the price will seriously consider this boat now over some other brands. The best thing is that it is a REAL Formula, thru and thru,it is NOT a Falcon. Our dealership has needed this model for a long time, and it is finally here.

Without being too specific since lots of variables come into play with options, financing, rebate, discounts, etc., the 240BR should come in at a realistic street price in the $50's.From what I know about the boat so far,I consider that as a bargain that will change the thinking of some folks looking at some other brands. The thinking,I believe, is that if you can start someone out with a small Formula the larger Formulas will naturally come later. I seriously doubt Formula will make a lot of money on each 240 sold, but they are looking at the big picture, and at future sales. A very wise move,IMHO. We have big plans for the boat if they can supply us with enough of them. Our roots from the old days were in small boats and we have neglected them lately in order to concentrate mainly on Formula, now we can re-enter that market with something we are really proud of.

We had the boat priced at the New York show at $69,965, but that was with a lot of optional equipment and a retail finance program included. If you don't go crazy with the power and the options, the out-the-door price can get into the fifties. Not cheap, but the boat is still a Formula through-and-through. Response at the show was good.

Tom is right, a base boat with reasonable power and reasonable discount plus the factory cash rebate will be in the high 50's. I just got back from the Atlanta show as a spectator and there are several high end brands at similar size and price and I saw nothing that would compare. The first few 240's off line for shows are really loaded, wakeboard tower,GPS,Capt's Call exhaust, etc, just to show buyers what you can get. I believe most of our buyers will go for a 350 Mag with Flagship graphics and no other options, the standard boat is pretty well complete as it is,and it will be in hi 50 range. Formula is already finishing another set of molds because they are sure demand will be high, and I agree.Check one out if you get a chance,it is a very nice 24' boat.Formula thru and thru.
