I know they are discontinuing the Scorpion 377, but how much do or did they cost? Also how much does a 496 Mag HO cost.

I don't know for sure, but I think the 496 is cheaper. That blue paint is expensive you know!

I've seen new take out 496 HO's for under $10k.

In 2002 I replaced a 7.4 mpi with a 496 ho complete and ready to drop in for $9,000. I bought it from Tyler Crockett. It was a take out from one of his customers opting for more power. The 496's are a very solid package... I have no idea on the 377 cost wise, hopefully no more than the 496 ho.

Mine is for sale for $9,500 but it has an extended warranty. I am putting in a Larry Peto 580 + 675 HP. my current motor has about 50 hrs.

i would only go small block if you can't fit the 496 in there..

I picked this up last year in Jan.for 6500 6hrs on the cpu, minus the Stainless Marines and Air cleaner.
did need a merc flywheel cover and coupler though it has proven itself with 35hrs I put on it

ya sort a , it was a volvo test engine, seems to run quite well. HP500 intake.
