She's Alive......and Running.....

Fired the motors off at around 2:30 this afternoon. First time in 366 days. They sounded SWEET. No leaks, everything sounded strong. Was going to go to the ramp but remembered I'd forgotten to reregister it and don't want a hassle with Johnny Law. Here's some pix.

Although the color on the side stripes are a little off (too much green, must be the light) this is the basic final product. Still have some wetsanding and waxing to do but you get the idea.

I was sitting in a biker bar at about 2:30 this afternoon when my phone rang. It was noisy in there, so I had trouble hearing the caller. All I could make out was, "listen to this mthr fkr". I thought some pissed off husband was calling me!
I went outside so I could hear. That's when I figured out all the noise wasn't the background of the bar, it was Outlaw's engines running!
Congrats Russ, but I'm still counting until she hits the water!

Surprisingly it doesn't appear to be much louder when you're up in the boat, BUT when you are out of it alongside, or behind, MAN is it ever louder. I had five neighbors come outside to see what was making the noise. They've heard me flush it before, but it never sounded like it did today. SWEET...l
We don't need no stinking mufflers.
