I have a 2001 46 Cigarette that I am installing 600 efi Innovations, bravo XR 1.5 ratio. What pitch props and what would be the difference between four and five blades?
Thanks.
Thanks.

The five blades will be smoother, but they may hamper top end speed and give you too much stern lift.
Let us know what worked.

Hydromotive P5-X, should be the correct prop for this boat. A 5B propeller will carry this boat so much better than the 4B could ever. You need to stay in the "Round Ear" blade design, which will help to carry the bow.

Thanks Julie! I spent at least 20 min. on the phone today with Julie from Throttle up. She was very helpful! I think I am going to try the P5-X. We just need to figure out 29 or 30 pitch.

We have worked with the Innovation 600 on a couple race boats. They need to run close to the rev limiter of 5600. They are a good reliable motor.
We just ran some calculations and I would guess you will need to be in a 26 or 27 5 blade prop. After running the boat we can look at the numbers and see where to go from there.
We do have the 27 P5X as a test prop, that should give you a good idea of which way to go from there. Your drive height will dictate whether a 4 or 5 blade prop will work best on your boat.

Going to check on the boat tomarrow and will get some pics. We have run into some small problems with the motor mounts and the hatch arms. Nothing is ever easy!!
Throttleup. Matt, Julie is the best! She sure does have me excited about some new wheels!
