I wish I could remember where or who told me about this but I'm glad they did.
Coleman Camping Gear sells an inflatable cooler float. Will hold a 36-50 qt. cooler. Has handles and a tie ring. Price is 10.00 pus shipping/tax. Cost me 16.00 even.
Don't know about all of you, but I do run out or room in the cockpit if I bring our large cooler. I usually toss it in the water and hope it floats steady without flipping over. Now I won't have to worry.

As a college drunk we used to go tubing down the upper James (mild Rapids). We would go to a truck service center and get tubes out of the dumpster, clean them, patch the hole and off we'd go. I would pull a flat tube around a cooler then fill it with air. Held the cooler tight and I could stuff a fishing pole in beside it. Ended up catching a number of small mouth bass on those trips too.
Ya know....It was a lot cheaper to hang on the river in those days!!!

We used to see a lot of basically the same thing at Passage Key. I remeber seeing some drunk walking around with the rope to it tied around his neck. He would have been in good shape if he stepped off in a hole.

Ok, Ok.......I thought I was passing on a useful item and all I get is sarcasm. SHEESH!!
Yeah Biggus, I know it's freezing up in your neck of the woods. But down here we only have two more months of "cooler" weather.
By mid March we'll be warming up.

I've got a couple of buddies that keep trying to turn my Formula into a redneck bass boat. They want to install a fishing seat and trolling motor on the bow.

I was thinking trolling motor and a seat cushion.
Maybe a minnkota or something.

Theres a company that makes floating coolers that look like your boat and can be painted/decaled. I will try to remember the website. They are about 3' long and very cool.
