I thought you guys would like to see these. You may have seen them before, some of you actually took these...

First two are from last years SBI Miami race. I was the pace boat for the second group.
Pics are decieving. The water doesn't look to rough, but it was the roughest I have ever seen. The swells and holes in the inlet were really an honest 12-15'. I was glad to be in a Pantera, and not a lesser boat. I had a rescue diver and race official with me.
The constant swells on the race course were 8'. You'd be sitting in a trough, and see only the waves on either side of you...
A lot of boats broke that day.

Hey I took those first 2 pics. I was trying to get one of you when you were really getting some major airtime, I saw you guys get nearly vertical more than once! but these digital cams do not have the fast shutter response of the 35 SLR's.
I was glad to be onshore that day

Tim was in front of me going out being the pace boat, their were times that I didnt see him at all untill he was in top of the wave. That was one hell of a ride and yes I was very fortunate to have a 28 Pantera that day...Tim if the weather holds up let me know if you want to go out this weekend

I have a garage full of Boat parts, an empty fiberglass hull, and an motor(weedwacker) builder lined up, so as soon as I can get my work schedule straightened out, I am going to go nutz on the old 24 , maybe we'll be on the water this summer sometime.
