Default Tired of rising fuel prices?

Then do what this guy did...

Man Runs Car On Free Used Vegetable Oil
Car Gets 30 Miles Per Gallon

POSTED: 11:06 am EST January 26, 2005

DELAWARE, Ohio -- A Delaware man who drives a lot on
his job was sick of rising fuel prices so he converted
his car to run on used vegetable oil he gets for free
from local Asian restaurants.

Giles Clement, 23, said the conversion only cost him
about $150 and the car runs a lot smoother and quieter
now.

Clement, a photographer for The Delaware Gazette, said
his four-cylinder 1982 Mercedes-Benz 240D diesel gets
about 30 miles to the gallon of vegetable oil.

He said the only problem is the car smells like
Chinese food and that makes him crave egg rolls.

I get great mileage, but have gained 50 lbs since the conversion.

www.biodiesel.org.

welcome to 110 yr old technology. The Diesel engine was originally run on vegetable oil and still can. biodiesel is also cheaper now because of the rising oil prices.

If history serves me, Rudolf Diesel designed his first engine to run on pulverized coal.

Diesel
