Does anyone know what I can use to remove the Imron Paint graphics off my Fountain? I want to update the graphics on the boat but have no Idea what to use to SAFELY remove the factory Imron graphics without damaging the gel coat.
Thanks 32fountain

You will have to repaint the hull and deck where ever the grapics were anyway. The gel will be a different color under the paint due to fading. You could paint over the old graphics with new colors and incorporate them into new graphics also.

I agree with Griif. There is no shortcut for doing a large surface .Its easer to repaint over a large area. Don't have it regelled. Have it Painted with Quality linear polyurethane or base clear system.

You can sand them off, must be done by hand just until you touch the underlying gelcoat then stop. Then compound, buff, buff, wax, etc the gelcoat to a fine shine. Lots of work, may need to sand or compound out the whole thing to get it to match. Like removing bottom paint. Don't know about the fading below, may then need to paint also.
