Tony, Brian and others:
Great plan. I support your mission and agenda. I am sorry I can not attend, but here are my comments/suggestions:
1. Find a way to consolidate classes. There are not enough boats in the Mid-West to support 5-7 classes. Do you have to mirror APBA/SBI?
2. Work to improve on the current P-Class rules. It can be accomplished. You have my suggestions.
3. Kill TV. It drains revenue that can invested in better ways that will grow the sport.
4. Consider smaller to no purses. In my opinion, this is not why racers race.
I look forward to reading the meeting minutes.

Is this meeting associated with the Blue Water Offshore Racing Assoc.??? Or is this the new USA Offshore Group??
I saw in the local paper Blue Water Offshore is putting on an OSS / Silver Cup race on the same weekend, as they have for the last ten years.
If this meeting is for the USA group, why is it necessary to have two race site producers. Blue Water has produced the country's finest Offshore races for the last ten consecutive years. in 2000 there were 97 boats, in 2004 there were almost 50 OSS and Silver Cup boats present. in 2004, there was 5 hours of uninterrupted racing on the St Clair River.
WHAT GIVES?????
An enthusiastic Offshore fan

Hi Mark,
You are one up on me. Obviously, you know who I am. I only know who you are from here on OSO. We have never been introduced, at least that I am aware of.
Please let me address your concerns regarding my agenda.
1. I am a very enthusiastic Offshore fan. I have been attending races since the early eighties. If it’s too fast, you’re too old!!
2. If anyone really wants to know who I am, show up Tuesday and ask. I have nothing to hide.
3. I asked the question in my first post in this thread because a couple of local people asked me if the meeting was for the Blue Water Offshore Racing Association. I figured there may be some other fans, racers, promoters, etc., that may have the same misconception. I’ll admit I may not have asked to have this situation cleared up in the most politically correct manner.
4. I am speaking for myself.
5. I am almost competent at typing, this is taking forever!!! (I am doing this myself.)
6. I do get breaks at work, lunch, etc.
7. I have invested significant time and money supporting the local (St Clair, Algonac, Port Huron) races.
8. I have had the nickname Gus for a very long time. It’s a very long story.
9. Yes, I am a member of the BWORA. I have been since 2000.
If anyone has any questions, please ask them here, I will answer as soon and as plainly as possible.
Thanks,
Gus
(Scott)
PS. I still haven’t seen an answer.
PSS. I have been open and honest here, have you??
