Default Around How Fast...

Hey whats up guys. One of my good friends just bought a 2003 42 Outerlimits and is putting in MERC 900sc's. The 42 is not a gtx it is the other model. How fast do you think he will be able to go with that? the boat is staggered and has dry sump #6's. It also has a full cabin. He was wondering what it will run.

The one in Powerboat with twin 875's did like 110 but was an epoxy, so I would guess 108-110 with standard layup and a couple extra ponies. They say the epoxy is worth 4-5 MPH in an identical boat.

I would guess low 100's. which is good for the real world. I've ridden a couple with 1050 sterlings that were suppose to be low teens but the best we ever saw was about 104, and this was with very good drivers .

It sounds more like you are wondering how fast he will go! Wondering if you have him covered?
