Post Freshened Motors

Well just talked with Pat the other day. He's got my motors apart and freshening them for me. He told me I'm going to be getting a little more power. I guess they're doing some head work and some other stuff. I should see 30 - 40 hp per side increase. should see a couple extra mph with that.

Those guys at AT sure take care of its customers.

Thanks Pat, Steve, Tim and all the rest of the AT crew.

Thumbs up

I heard that about your motors and that they were in need of repair but you got 300 hours out of them. Not too bad, and 30-40 hp increase a side. Nice, real nice. You are right, Steve, Pat and Tim are some great guys to work with. When is it going to be done and when are you planning on picking up best revenge?

Todd, did you have any broken valve springs? I had two broken ones with 350 hours on the motors. What springs did you go back with??

Pat told me I had 7. The innner springs on all of them. The motors ran ok slow but not much on the top end. I'm hoping to get some more hp. I'm sure Pat will take good care of me.

Todd,
Glad to hear you're gettin it taken care of now, before bad stuff happens.
Inner valve springs on the 500HP is pretty common. I'm hoping Pat sends them to Innovation. They do a great job, and they usually do a little extra "balance" while apart. You're gonna love em when you get em back.

Todd, A little port work on the heads is a very good thing to have done. It doesn't ad to any of the mechanics or decrease the reliability to an engine and yet you get more horsepower without adding moving parts by porting the heads. Now is a good time to have it done is when you're having the engines freshend up.
